Inventory Counter – Cycle Counting & Warehouse Inventory

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Must be available for overtime and occasional Saturday work

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Counter to support warehouse inventory accuracy in Wappingers Falls, NY. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in cycle counting, inventory control, and discrepancy research who can work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The right candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, meeting counting deadlines, and helping ensure inventory integrity across operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and help resolve count variances
• Operate a cherry picker and forklift to access and count inventory
• Use scanners, handheld inventory devices, and warehouse systems to record counts accurately
• Meet daily and weekly counting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Assist with inventory audits and stock verification processes
• Communicate count issues and inventory concerns clearly with team members and supervisors
• Support overall warehouse organization and inventory control procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience primarily focused on cycle counting and inventory control
• Experience operating a cherry picker and forklift required
• Comfortable using scanners, handheld inventory devices, and warehouse technology
• Basic computer skills required; ERP experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to count accurately for extended periods
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and work under deadline pressure
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and count for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and operating equipment safely
