Inventory Coodinator

Job Summary The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for assisting the plants and purchasing in monitoring, managing, and maintaining the overall VMI inventory level. Principle Duties And Responsibilities Work closely with the buyers and plants to monitor and maintain all plant VMI programs.Know our system inside and out so you can run any inventory and receive reports available and answer inventory questions that come up.Handle most communication with specific vendor contacts and facilitate their needs.Investigate any inventory discrepancies and communicate the issue with plants and vendors.Handle vendor issues tactfullyMaintain vendor price maintenance tablesUpdate and maintain VMI and cash contract recordsPrepare various reports and correspondence as requiredProcess Import payablesShare backup receptionist dutiesPerform other duties as directedAssists in assigned special projectsPerforms other duties as required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent degreeMinimum one year of experience in inventory control or related areaWorking knowledge of inventory internal controls, and company proceduresWorking knowledge in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications Excel, Word, and OutlookBasic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades, and speciesPreferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 - 18.00 hourly dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living* Bonus/Incentive Pay: A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
