About the Role

At Mass General Brigham, every role contributes to our mission of enhancing patient care, advancing research, and supporting our communities. As an Inventory Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring departments have the supplies and materials they need to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory records and support the efficient management of supplies and materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock quantities.
  • Process purchasing orders and track deliveries to ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
  • Investigate and resolve ordering, receiving, and inventory-related issues.
  • Record purchases, maintain inventory databases, and perform regular inventory audits.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile stock levels with system records.
  • Receive, unpack, organize, and distribute incoming shipments.
  • Restock inventory and maintain organized, accurately labeled storage areas.
  • Process and/or approve invoices for payment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Cook up and document product returns as needed.
  • Perform routine administrative duties, including data entry, answering phones, and assisting internal customers.
  • Serve as a cashier and process cash-related transactions when required.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff, students, interns, volunteers, or other team members involved in inventory-related activities.
  • Support departmental operations and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Experience: 2-3 years of directly related experience required
  • Skills: Highly organized, dependable, and customer-focused with strong attention to detail. Enjoy problem-solving, working with inventory systems, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure operational excellence.
