Duties
- Must be able to perform all duties of a Warehouse Associate II and Material Handler I.
- Assist Warehouse Associates in prioritizing work.
- Assign Warehouse Associates to areas as needed to meet warehouse demands.
- Aid in interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Assist with disciplining employees.
- Effectively use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other methods to drive continuous improvement.
- Address employee complaints and resolve problems.
- Collaborate with Customer Service on issues and special projects.
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor to manage personnel issues including time off requests and timecard approval.
- Understand all work functions in area of expertise and maintain sufficient knowledge to serve as back-up to the department Supervisor.
- Work with Human Resources for staffing needs.
- Perform weekly forklift inspections.
- Absorb and ensure accurate inventory counts.
- Ensure all equipment and tools in the area are in proper working order.
- Aid in running productivity reports.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Follow all safety rules.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of warehouse operations experience preferred.
- Retail Floor Handheld (RF Handheld) experience required.
- Must be certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
- Strong proficiency in English communication including reading, writing, and verbal interactions are required for complying with safety protocols and operational procedures.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand and walk on level surfaces for a prolonged period.
- Frequent use of hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height and below the waist.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 70% of the day and up to 65 lbs. 30% of the day.
Working Conditions
- Non-climate-controlled warehouse.
