About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Technician (Contract) to support our engineering change implementations. In this critical role, you will ensure inventory readiness before product changes are released to the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Cycle Counts: Execute accurate cycle counts for parts affected by Production Change Orders (PCOs) and verify physical inventory against ERP records.
  • Manage Material Transitions: Monitor inventory consumption prior to engineering change implementations to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Maintain the Change Cage: Receive, identify, and securely store new revision materials in the Engineering Change Cage.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Strictly segregate old and new revision materials to prevent production mix-ups and verify that production areas are entirely free of obsolete materials.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Gather and share critical information with the Warehouse, Material Planning, Purchasing, and Production teams during engineering changes.
  • Mitigate Risks: Proactively report inventory discrepancies and potential implementation risks to the Change Management Specialist.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or inventory control.
  • Foundational computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency; experience with ERP systems and barcode scanners is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to accurately count and organize inventory while strictly following standardized work instructions.
  • Highly comfortable working dynamically across both warehouse and production environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, a strong sense of teamwork, and the ability to work effectively with various departments.

Pay

California Pay Range: $30—$35 USD per hour.
