Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of Inventory Control staff
• Coach and mentor Inventory Control staff
• Create and validate training curriculum
• Drive continuous improvement in operational metrics
• Coordinate activities of large teams during crises
• Ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently
• Provide weekly communication forums for the department
• Communicate business strategy and direction
• Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels
• Verify and inspect outgoing shipments
• Interface with various departments and support functions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5+ years of experience in Inventory Control
• Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations
• Proven track record of successful change management and productivity/cost reduction programs
• Strong financial and analytical abilities
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

Qualifications

• Knowledge of scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from customers and regulatory agencies
• Ability to present information to top management
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
• Ability to interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Ability to effectively present information to top management

Skills

• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations
• Strong financial and analytical ability
• Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments
• Strong and convincing communication skills
• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required
