Responsibilities
- Recruitment and retention of Inventory Control staff
- Coach and mentor Inventory Control staff
- Create and validate training curriculum
- Drive continuous improvement in operational metrics
- Coordinate activities of large teams during crises
- Ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently
- Provide weekly communication forums for the department
- Communicate business strategy and direction
- Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels
- Verify and inspect outgoing shipments
- Interface with various departments and support functions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5+ years of experience in Inventory Control
- Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations
- Proven track record of successful change management and productivity/cost reduction programs
- Strong financial and analytical abilities
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
Qualifications
- Knowledge of scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from customers and regulatory agencies
- Ability to present information to top management
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to effectively present information to top management
Skills
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations
- Strong financial and analytical ability
- Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments
- Strong and convincing communication skills
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required
