Inventory Control Specialist (Packaging) - Ave Maria, FL.

Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Inventory Control Specialist supports material handling and inventory control to ensure throughput, workflow, and production plan goals are met in Warehouse Operations. This role assists Warehouse and Production departments through training, process improvements, and material issue resolution while supporting programs, policies, and procedures to help grow Arthrex as a world-class medical device manufacturer.

About the role

Third Shift - Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Move materials throughout the facility as required.
• Pick and pull material to fulfill work orders and deliveries.
• Operate forklift, stock pickers, and turret truck equipment.
• Perform stock adjustments in SAP and communicate as necessary.
• Replenish supermarkets, Kanban, and other replenishment areas for Production support.
• Manage inventory levels for DTS items and other assigned materials.
• Perform cycle counting, bin audits, and inventory reconciliation through SAP.
• Support warehouse organization and put away.
• Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.
• Accurately transfer material in SAP from one location to another.
• Work closely with all other Warehouse functions and Production areas.
• Generate bin tags and ensure information is accurate and complete.
• Adhere to all Quality System Requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of prior related experience desired.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows applications) for material issuance and inventory tracking and control.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment.
• Basic knowledge of inventory concepts and MS Office.
• Ability to operate SAP WM main functions.
• Basic knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to perform tasks by reading, understanding, and following work instructions/documents.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and manufacturing techniques.
• Basic understanding of BOMs and Routers and their use in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and computer systems such as word processing, managing files and records, Excel, PowerPoint, Agile, Documentum, SAP, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles required for the job.
• Ability to communicate ideas and issues effectively verbally and in writing.

Physical Demands

• Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Bend frequently and lift 50-70 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Visual acuity necessary to perform the job safely and effectively.

Work Environment

The work environment involves occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is consistent with warehousing operations and is usually moderate.
