About the role
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials and WIP
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis
- Maintain inventory accuracy through timely transaction review and reconciliation
- Support annual physical inventory activities and audit preparation
- Monitor inventory locations and ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, and stored
- Issue raw materials to production jobs in accordance with work orders and production schedules
- Review and validate inventory transactions for accuracy, including receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns
- Support kitting activities by ensuring required materials are available and staged for shipping
- Develop and recommend process enhancements to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality departments to support operational requirements
Qualifications
- Office Suite, Facilities management software
- Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Excel
- Manufacturing 2 years
- Licenses or certifications not specified
- Lean Manufacturing/Warehouse environment ERP system experience
- Jobboss2 experience a plus
- Raw Materials Verbal and written communication skills/Interpersonal relationships
- Attention to detail
- 2-5 years inventory management
