About the role
The Inventory Control Specialist supports Warehouse operations by managing inventory data and work order processes. Key responsibilities include closing work orders, verifying inventory availability, performing cycle counts, and communicating counts.
Responsibilities
- Close work orders within 72 hours after production runs are completed
- Verify raw material, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory availability
- Perform cycle counts on consumable products and finished goods as needed
- Coordinate inventory transactions with third-party warehouses and logistics providers
- Manage inventory movements and cycle counts using forklifts and other powered industrial trucks
- Communicate inventory and production counts via email
- Auxiliary tasks include assisting with daily rack counts, sugar counts, updating SOPs, and resolving quality issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in inventory control
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and use of weights and measures
- Familiarity with basic computer systems and control interfaces
- Team-oriented attitude, ability to resolve conflicts professionally, and strong problem-solving mindset
- Physical capabilities to lift up to 55 pounds frequently and perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, and squatting
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic understanding of food production and food safety principles
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and remaining productive under shifting demands
- Highly motivated, reliable, and hands-on

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
