Inventory Control Specialist

Boise Cascade is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain control over inventories, ensuring they are secured, properly identified, and readily accessible to authorized personnel at a distribution location.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile results with inventory records.
  • Ensure quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct to maintain accurate physical inventories and records.
  • Conduct analyses of inventory levels and coordinate with production, sales orders, and forecasts.
  • Operate a forklift to maintain inventory position.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
  • Follow safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or two (2) years of equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to perform duties in a warehouse operations environment with some physical exertion; work both inside and outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: More than five (5) years of experience in a related job function.
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to interface well with customers.
  • Solid understanding of all RFN functions.
  • Knowledge of office equipment operation (e.g., calculator, computer) and proficiency in computer software applications, including Excel and Agility.
  • Ability to understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations.
  • Effective communication skills, demonstrated decision-making ability, and strong organizational skills.
