About the role

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Inventory Control Manager arranges and accelerates the flow of equipment, materials, parts, assemblies, and other materials according to schedules or priorities. This position compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, checks schedules, and confers with others to determine requirements, identify overdue materials, and track material on the Test Operations Support Services (TOSS) contract. Located in Fallbrook, CA.

  • Provides inventory control services for all of ESED’s (Expeditionary Systems Engineering Division) test operations assets, consumables, and materials/assets.
  • Performs requisition tracking and processes transactions.
  • Receives, inspects, transports, and stores assets.
  • Maintains inventory systems and accountable records for test articles, equipment, materials, consumables, and weapons.
  • Maintains and tracks ESED’s HAZMAT, including an Authorized User List (AUL).
  • Ensures Material Data Sheets are available for all HAZMAT material and that requested material meets current OSHA and environmental standards.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • An active secret clearance is required.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • Ten (10) years of experience providing practical working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, and guidelines in a U.S. Navy or similar DoD environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • 10% travel required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

  • Experience using Asset Panda.
  • Experience using Consolidated Memorandum Report (CMR).
  • Military experience with a supply background.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical exertion required, such as long periods of standing, recurring walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing (e.g., shop activities, inspections, or operations in industrial areas, on-board ships, submarines, and/or weapon facilities).
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision (e.g., Electric/Diesel Forklift, CNC Milling Machine, Welding/Soldering, CAT III Overhead Crane, pallet jack, "Big Joe" stand-behind pallet lift mechanism).

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is $39.78/hr–$41.78/hr. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs and may be eligible for performance bonuses and other rewards and benefits.
