About the role

Responsible for tracking inventory and maintaining accurate inventory records, researching any discrepancies, and ensuring SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain SOX compliance relative to 3rd Party audit & Company standards
  • Schedules and coordinates all physical inventories and cycle counts including date checks
  • Prepares physical inventory recaps on a timely basis for distribution to management
  • Reviews and develops inventory control procedures as appropriate
  • Identifies and resolves all internal shrink problems
  • Maintains records retention program in compliance with corporate guidelines and policies
  • Performs basic slotting functions as needed
  • Researches mis-slots and quality issues, verifies pick slots and back stock verification
  • Maintains and monitors store returns, driver check-in process and salvage programs
  • Maintains and tracks quarterly parts and supply inventories to ensure accuracy
  • Monitors and processes daily reports for inventory control
  • Communicates with all stakeholder departments including QC, inventory control, operations, procurement, reclaim, etc.
  • Communicates with salvage dealers for pickup and documentation
  • Provides guidance regarding damages and returns for products that can be sold to salvage dealers
  • Builds stable, secure pallets with the pulled product and labels with pallet number tags
  • Pulls any product to be salvaged as directed by buying department, IC or chargeback
  • Correctly fills out chargeback paperwork
  • Accurately adjusts inventory in the system
  • Coordinates and loads salvage pickups with salvage dealer
  • Reviews, receives and responds to written and verbal communication

Qualifications

  • Licensed in operating powered industrial equipment
  • Strong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systems
  • Understanding of all paperwork and reporting methods related to tracking inventory
  • Global understanding of all warehouse processes
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks

Physical Environment/Demands

  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to lift between 40-60 pounds daily and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
  • Exposure to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties
  • Ability to operate work related equipment

Compensation

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
