About This Role

Under direct supervision, the Inventory Control Coordinator assists with inventory control and process improvement activities within the Distribution Center. Contributes towards achieving a high degree of inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the company’s values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities in inventory management through root-cause analysis and assists in deployment of new processes.
  • Researches and resolves inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs non-cycle count-related inventory adjustments adhering to inventory control guidelines.
  • Performs various data analysis on inventory levels and transactional data.
  • Supports development and maintenance of inventory management SOPs and training documents.
  • Supports Customer Service with returns to stock.
  • Makes changes in grammar, punctuation and spelling as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains record keeping and filing systems.
  • Opens, sorts, prioritizes, and distributes mail.
  • Captures and processes daily cycle counts performed by Cycle Count Clerks.
  • Coordinates and processes quarterly inventory and adjustments of raw materials.

Education/Training Required and Preferred

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control or related field.

Experience Required and Preferred

  • Intermediate knowledge of distribution center procedures, policies and guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to comprehend work instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with members across the organization.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and demonstrate professional behavior.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and to work within timelines.
  • Proficiency with computers, with strong knowledge of word processing and computerized spreadsheets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
  • Able to accurately perform intermediate mathematical and statistical calculations and to use a weight counting scale.

APICS CPIM Certification or Similar Training Preferred

  • APICS CPIM certification or similar training preferred.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Knowledge Preferred

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne preferred.

Compensation Range

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $19.19 to $23.00. The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
