Position Summary

We are a sporting goods manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Inventory Control Coordinator to manage inventory accuracy and support warehouse operations. This role is responsible for overseeing cycle counts and physical inventory processes, ensuring compliance, and maintaining effective communication between operations and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily cycle count program, including inventory selection, count execution, auditing, reconciliation, and transaction processing.

  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and root causes to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Cookordinate and support scheduled physical inventories, including offsite locations and annual full inventory counts.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within JD Edwards (JDE), Manhattan SCALE Warehouse Management System (WMS), and other inventory systems by ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

  • Partner with warehouse operations to ensure proper material handling practices, accurate inventory movements, and timely system updates.

  • Prepare monthly inventory reports, reconciliations, and Excel schedules to support finance and accounting requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with JSOX requirements, internal controls, company policies, and inventory management procedures.

  • Communicate inventory issues, risks, discrepancies, and performance metrics to Operations, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement process enhancements that increase inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and inventory control effectiveness.

Safety Compliance

  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and confidential information.

Training Compliance

  • Complete all required role-specific and company-wide training by assigned deadlines to remain compliant and job-ready.
  • Promptly notify your supervisor of any issues that may delay completion.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, plus 2-5 years of inventory control, warehouse, or related experience (manufacturing preferred).

This role requires frequent interaction and collaboration with warehouse operations, accounting, finance, and other cross-functional teams to support inventory accuracy and business objectives, Standard business hours consist of an eight-hour workday; however, occasional overtime, schedule adjustments, or additional hours may be required to support operational demands, physical inventory counts, month-end activities, and special projects.
