Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Document and enter all new items into the WMS system as well as keep the system up to date with any changes to existing items.
- Validate all entered data is accurate e.g. length/width/height and cube.
- Perform cycle counts on products and compare against the system.
- Verify proper rotation (FIFO) on all items in storage.
- Verify all items are stored in the proper temperature zone.
- Create and/or run inventory control reports to be used as part of the metrics review on a weekly basis.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Dependable and organized.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
- Knowledge of WMS and /or ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comply with strict time frames and deadlines.
- Strong communication capabilities (verbal, written, and comprehension).
Skills And Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years' experience in logistics or inventory control.
- Bilingual: Spanish and English.
Physical Demands And Work Conditions
- This role works in a distribution center environment and is typically subject to:
- Exposure to extreme temperature changes, moisture, noise, odors, and moving equipment.
- Running forklifts or pallet jacks on occasion.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying up to 75 lbs.
