How You Will Make Contributions That Matter
- Perform product inventory activities by confirming physical inventory quantity and location along with reporting variances.
- Responsible for inventory control activities, including creating, assigning, and completing inventory control tasks, identifying, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from use of exception codes.
- Complete monthly cycle counts on all inventory and locations, both physical and virtual, and perform reconciliation as needed.
- Oversee all physical customer returns, investigate customer claims related to shortages, overages or damages reported, communicate findings and provide research summary and responses to claims as directed.
- Perform warehouse team lead responsibilities, to include coordinating, assigning work activities, reporting and follow-up.
- Assist with investigating product shortages and ensuring order fill rates are met, without warehouse-controlled shortages.
- Create STOs (Stock Transfer Orders) to move products between warehouse locations as needed.
- Provide scheduling support to backfill vacancies to minimize department operation disruption.
- Perform all required SAP transactions, complete all required documentation.
- Collaborate, communicate and provide cross-functional support with other departments to minimize warehouse operations disruption.
- Complete daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection, ensuring safe operation and reporting any concerns to maintenance personnel or shift supervisor.
- Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs and regulatory requirements.
- Promptly report all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to management team.
- Attend and participates in all required training, shift meetings and committees.
- Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Preferred, 2-year degree in supply chain management or inventory control management.
- Two-years in a lead warehouse role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution center environment.
- Excellent computer skills with advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP a plus.
- Able to operate material handling equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures to ensure documents are audited and accurate.
- Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Are highly organized and efficient.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
- Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
- Must have excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
- Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
- Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.
- Good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Fine manipulation and hand dexterity, including ability to grip and squeeze; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), to include bump cap, hearing, and eye protection. This also include additional PPE requirements as defined for the position activities.
Pay
- Starting wage $30.05 + shift differential.
