Inventory Control

About the role

Poly-America, L.P. is currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our Shipping/Receiving department. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction films, and geomembrane liners. Poly-America is also the most technologically advanced and largest recycler and compounder of polyethylene in the world.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and all associated documents, transfer orders, staging of material, return of material, and perform cycle counts to ensure timely and accurate accounting of materials.
• Receive, unpack, and deliver goods.
• Process and document returns as required following established procedures.
• Adjust errors in the system when necessary.
• Drive bike or forklift between buildings, exposing employee to outside weather conditions.
• Accurately monitor and store inventory, resolve discrepancies using provided resources.
• Reconcile stock counts to report data.
• Analyze and solve problems.
• Receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work comfortably in outside and non-climate controlled environments.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail and accurately document information.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
• Apply basic math skills, count correctly and accurately, and know unit of measurement conversion.

Requirements

• Shipping and receiving experience preferred (exceptions possible for the right candidate).
• Good communication skills.
• Computer literate and able to quickly learn required software.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
• Successfully pass a drug screen.
