About the role

This position supports accurate inventory records by performing routine cycle counts and assisting with inventory investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned daily and weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy across designated product lines.
  • Count, verify, and record physical inventory in accordance with company procedures and documentation standards.
  • Compare physical inventory counts to system records and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
  • Aid in researching and resolving inventory variances through recounts and investigation of potential causes.
  • Maintain organized inventory areas and accurate counting documentation to support operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to identify and resolve basic inventory issues.
  • Support full physical inventory counts, internal audits, and inventory control initiatives as required.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • One to two years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or related experience is preferred; training will be provided for candidates new to inventory cycle counting.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or ERP systems is preferred but not required.
  • Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus; certification may be obtained after hire if required.
  • Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a hands-on work environment.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills, including the ability to enter and review inventory information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to follow established procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently while maintaining dependable attendance.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with warehouse and operations staff.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that exposure to all extreme types of weather.
