About the role
Join a dynamic healthcare supply chain team. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing surgical and patient care support. Will wear hospital-provided attire (scrubs) and may occasionally be working in patient care areas.
Responsibilities
- Oversee perpetual inventory in assigned warehouses and maintain a computer-based inventory management system/stock master.
- Manage Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) levels and daily cycle count activity.
- Work closely with clinical leaders, physicians, and department staff to ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment for procedures.
- Collaborate with the procure-to-pay team to resolve backorder problems and inform end-users of delays in product availability.
- Assist in coordination of new product trials with physicians, clinical staff, and vendor representatives.
- Support product conversions and standardization initiatives in assigned warehouse locations.
- Review requests to add items to assigned locations and inform customers of acceptance or denial.
- Oversee product recalls in assigned warehouses and provide timely information on recalled items to purchasing.
- Depending on location, achieve inventory turnover rates as assigned and maintain fill rates to customers of 99 percent related to perpetual inventory.
- Assist in end-of-fiscal-year audits by outside auditors and manage other year-end duties for a successful fiscal year-end inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Associate degree or post-secondary education and previous inventory experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
- Inventory management systems knowledge helpful.
Pay
Salary range: $16.00 - $25.50 per hour. Pay starts at $16.00 with additional credit given for work experience relative to this role.
