About the role

An Inventory Control Assistant for Ferguson Facilities Supply acts as a liaison between the sales force and the Supply Chain department at Headquarters. This role focuses on Sales & Operations planning, coordinating with channel partners, suppliers, and internal customers to integrate supply and demand management across our distribution center network. The position links major functions inside and outside the organization to create a cohesive, high-performing business model.

Responsibilities

  • Complete advanced duties associated with inventory management on a day-to-day basis using Power BI-based monitoring.
  • Deliver inventory support to specific regions, aligning with business types and/or vendors.
  • Handle complex or new tasks, assisting the sales team with technical knowledge and inventory management solutions.
  • Collaborate with departments such as field sales, Category Management, HQ Supply Chain, and blended partners.
  • Implement inventory control measures to ensure responsible inventory management.
  • Use Outlook, Teams, Excel, and other platforms to develop and communicate solutions for external customers.
  • Adhere to Company compliance and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of sales experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of systems and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Power BI, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Access, Word).
  • Ability to use FEL’s inventory and logistics system (Trilogie).
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently with computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

Physical Requirements

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Pay

Starting pay is $21.76 per hour, with potential for more based on experience. The pay range for this role is $15.00–$27.10 per hour. This role is eligible for bonus or incentive plans. Actual starting wage may vary by location based on local or state wage requirements.
