Inventory Control and Receiving Specialist

About the role

At General Plastics Manufacturing Company, we manufacture rigid and flexible polyurethane foam (LAST-A-FOAM®) and build-to-print composite parts for commercial, military, and aerospace customers — work we've done for over 80 years. We're hiring an Inventory Control and Receiving Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of incoming materials, with cross-training into stores and quality inspection as you grow into the role.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process inbound shipments against POs and packing lists; verify CoCs and Material Test Reports using precision instruments
• Document and quarantine non-conforming material and initiate NCRs
• Issue materials/kits and process transactions in the ERP system; maintain accurate inventory through cycle counting and location management
• Move materials plant-wide (hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, including the mezzanine) and coordinate with Production, QA, and Shipping

Requirements

• 2+ years of receiving or inventory control experience
• Able to read technical documentation (blueprints, POs, CoCs)
• High school diploma/GED and valid driver's license
• Able to stand up to 8 hrs/day, climb stairs to the mezzanine, and perform fine-detail tasks

Preferred

• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• Overtime available, with occasional Saturday work

Pay

• Pay starts between $23 - $27 per hour, plus cash bonuses paid 3 times per year
