Inventory Clerk

About the role

This is a day shift position at Samtec’s cable production site in Wilsonville, OR. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Pay is $22 per hour to start.

Responsibilities

• Move all materials between facilities, point-of-use stations, and storage.
• Perform periodic cycle counts of all materials (quarterly, more frequently for high-turn products).
• Fulfill inventory and perform receiving duties as assigned.
• Become certified on forklift and reach truck.
• Act as backup for shipping and receiving.
• File and archive documents such as material certifications, shop orders, and engineering folders.
• Work independently and as part of a team with a high sense of urgency.
• Coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.

Requirements

• Similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist routinely.
• Ability to sit or stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.
• Good written communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and attendance.
• Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail.
• Customer-service focus and high sense of urgency.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Education

• High School Diploma or GED.
