Job Duties
- Review and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletions
- Maintain and update inventory records
- Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Report any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary
- Prepare a list of depleted products and a survey of unusable products
- Conduct Cycle Count inventory processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution
- Schedule categories for Cycle Count inventory and maintain strict records
- Oversee and evaluate stock rotation procedures
- Maintain adequate storage for warehouse and on-site inventory
- Create an efficient space utilization plan
- Notify management of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
- Instruct staff on proper procedures for locating and utilizing product inventory
- Check bulk orders for accuracy and quality prior to shipment
Knowledge and Skills
- Clerical Skills: Inventory Associate need to know how to type, file and keep accurate records.
- Communication Skills: Inventory associate communicate with co-workers, the home office, and others to make sure that accurate records are being made of inventory.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy counts. Inventory associate need to make sure not to miss any details when counting orders and taking stock.
- Math Skills: Inventory associate will be using math to add inventory.
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2+ years’ experience in inventory control
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Exemplary mathematical and analytical skills
- Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed
- Able to lift 50 pounds without restriction
