Inventory Auditor

About the role

Maintains accurate warehouse inventory. Corrects discrepancies in stock status and book inventory. Audits Receiving, RTV and FE reports as needed to identify and correct errors. Audits other departments, warehouse reports and AS400 options as needed. Audits BI inventory reports and reports findings to management. The inventory auditor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. Provides a high level of member service.

Responsibilities

• Reviews daily and weekly reports of negative on hand items, items in stock without sales, item markdowns, and vendorservice claims.
• Researches and audits accrued merchandise payables, receiving documents, shipping documents and verifies vendor payments in SAP.
• Reviews items sold by department number and item discount documentation.
• Counts the actual merchandise on the sales floor, in the steel, and in receiving.
• Counts jewelry, majors, roadshows, and other high shrink departments and items each period.
• Removes and condenses layers of merchandise from pallets for accuracy.
• Keys counts into computer, researches variances, submits stock status adjustments to the General Manager and submits claims to Accounting to correct
