Inventory Associate

About the role

The shipper/receiver position provides the initial inspection on incoming commercial items from suppliers and final quality check on the orders to the customer. They help to promote the high standard of customer service that Maag Gala Inc. has built, ensuring that all orders are received accurately and shipped on time to customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and tag items to pack on customer orders.
• Pack items securely for shipment on UPS, FedEx, DHL, and truck shipments.
• Use the current business system to reprint packing slips and identification tags for spare parts orders.
• Receive and inspect commercial items ordered from suppliers.
• Operate a forklift to load/unload trucks and to remove/replace items on inventory shelves.
• Work with other inventory personnel to consolidate multiple orders on coordinated shipments.
• Pull, issue, and deliver items for job orders, spare part orders, projects, and inventory.
• Consider all interests of quality, accident prevention, occupational safety, and environmental safety within scope of responsibility.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus).
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid forklift license or willingness and ability to obtain one.
• Detail-oriented with 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift items up to 80 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and varying environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, rain, snow, wind, direct sunlight).
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, with possible weekends or holidays as needed. Travel frequency is approximately 10%.
