Inventory Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity
  • Perform cycle counts based on ABC analysis that includes measuring and weighing products
  • Identify and investigate the root cause of inventory count variances as well as systemic failures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective/preventative action to resolve and prevent inventory issues
  • Accurately enter the verified inventory variances in the inventory management system
  • Create and maintain a monthly cycle count accuracy report
  • Maintain product identification labels for designated storage locations
  • Properly document damaged products found internally or delivered by carrier
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing the bi-annual or annual physical inventory counts for the site
  • Crosstrain to support shipping and receiving functions during planned and unplanned absences
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in an inventory related field with similar responsibilities
  • APICS certified in CPIM (Certified Planning Inventory Management) is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to be on your feet throughout most of the day and perform actions such as bending, lifting, twisting, reaching, and climbing
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with ERP system or inventory management software
  • Very strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis
  • Forklift licensed, or the ability to obtain a license
