Responsibilities
- Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity
- Perform cycle counts based on ABC analysis that includes measuring and weighing products
- Identify and investigate the root cause of inventory count variances as well as systemic failures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective/preventative action to resolve and prevent inventory issues
- Accurately enter the verified inventory variances in the inventory management system
- Create and maintain a monthly cycle count accuracy report
- Maintain product identification labels for designated storage locations
- Properly document damaged products found internally or delivered by carrier
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing the bi-annual or annual physical inventory counts for the site
- Crosstrain to support shipping and receiving functions during planned and unplanned absences
- Perform additional duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
- 2+ years of work experience in an inventory related field with similar responsibilities
- APICS certified in CPIM (Certified Planning Inventory Management) is preferred but not required.
- Ability to be on your feet throughout most of the day and perform actions such as bending, lifting, twisting, reaching, and climbing
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with ERP system or inventory management software
- Very strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis
- Forklift licensed, or the ability to obtain a license
