About the role
At Stoke, we're building Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle designed to connect Earth and space. As an Inventory and Logistics Technician at our Kent site, you'll play a crucial role in streamlining our operations and ensuring we can meet the demands of a thriving space economy.
Responsibilities
- Execute hands-on inventory and logistics tasks, always seeking ways to optimize processes
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Work with internal teams to maintain reliable supply flow and minimize production-impacting shortages
- Drive process improvement by identifying bottlenecks and implementing technology-driven solutions
- Document current-state processes and build the case for change, using data, root cause analysis, and proposed solutions
- Optimize inventory locations, storage systems, and point-of-use material strategies
- Run inventory audits and use data to improve accuracy, replenishment timing, and visibility across the factory
- Partner closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure critical hardware is available exactly when and where it's needed
- Manage shipping, receiving, and internal material movement with a focus on speed, traceability, and scalability
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or supply chain role
- Valid forklift certification, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
- Demonstrated track record of identifying process gaps and driving fixes
- Strong computer skills: comfortable in spreadsheets, inventory software, or internal tracking tools
- Rigorous attention to detail and a high personal bar for accuracy
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted; able to stoop, bend, and crawl as needed for warehouse tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or supply chain role
- Experience with a warehouse management system (NetSuite, Fishbowl, SAP, etc.)
- Background in lean, 5S, kaizen, or other structured process improvement methodologies
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Excel macros, etc.) applied to inventory or logistics workflows
- Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or other high-accountability production environments
- Familiarity with ITAR-controlled parts handling and traceability requirements
