About the role

The Inventory Analyst I will manage inventory replenishment processes to ensure that the right products are available at the right time. This role involves analyzing stock levels and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. The successful candidate will use data-driven insights to support business objectives, minimize stock outs, and reduce excess inventory. Effective communication is key, as the analyst will maintain clear and consistent communication with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply chain disruptions. The candidate must also regularly collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as merchandising, logistics, and distribution, to ensure alignment between inventory management and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations and trigger orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Develop and execute replenishment plans to ensure timely stock replenishment, balancing between stock availability and minimizing overstock.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret inventory and sales data to optimize stock levels, minimize stock outs, and reduce excess inventory.
  • Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow and prevent bottlenecks in the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, lead times, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Maintain and update inventory management systems (e.g., AS/400 and JDA supply chain software) with accurate stock data and replenishment schedules.
  • Create and present regular reports on inventory performance, stock levels, and potential risks to senior management.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, or experience in inventory management, supply chain, or replenishment analysis.

Skills

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory optimization techniques (a plus).

  • Regularly: Computer work, sitting.
  • Seldom/Never: Walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
