About The Job
Consisting of experienced, creative, driven and savvy high-performers, our team manages the accounting for Google’s Devices and Services Product Area. As a member of this team, you will know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end-to-end. You will look for ways to help our team get better at what we do, in the most efficient way possible. You will collaborate cross-finance and cross-functionally to manage best practices for your areas. You will move fast while keeping your attention to detail, and your problem-solving skills to support Google's business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accountability for accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of accounting processes related to assigned areas, including inventory, supply chain and reverse logistics.
- Develop significant estimates and reserves, initiate and maintain accounting policies and memos, perform month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations, etc.
- Partner closely across finance as well as operations and the business to support new or ongoing supply chain initiatives, improve process efficiencies/scalability for continued operational excellence.
- Support system launches and migrations. Participate in system design and testing. Identify and implement opportunities to centralize, eliminate, automate, or external activities.
- Develop and execute ongoing, end-to-end, controllership processes, policies, and controls for Cost of sales and inventory controllership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 3 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Experience supporting inventory, supply chain or related accounting areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or MSA degree.
- Experience in supply chain, inventory accounting.
- Experience in Big 4 public accounting as well as in an operational accounting role.
- Knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional, fast-paced environment and to drive complex operational initiatives process improvements.
- Excellent investigative skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive management.
Pay
US: $105000 - $152000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
