Invasive Technologist
About the role
The Invasive Technologist plays a crucial role in the Heart and Vascular Center at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, North Dakota. This position involves performing complex angiography procedures, assisting physicians during interventions, and managing equipment to ensure accurate imaging.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates expert knowledge in performing angiography procedures, preparing patients, and managing imaging equipment.
- Manages the routine use and quality control of angiography equipment, adheres to radiation safety protocols, and assists with specialized equipment for diagnostic and emergent situations.
- Assesses patients for procedures, gathers pertinent data, uses professional judgment to select appropriate products, assists with patient transfers and education, and ensures high standards of patient care.
- Facilitates the timely delivery of completed exams for physician interpretation using current imaging technology, links exams, performs exception handling, and works professionally with physicians for quality imaging and reporting.
- Adheres to HIPAA regulations and hospital policies, maintains infection control, utilizes CPT coding correctly, assists with stocking room supplies, and meets required job-specific competencies.
- Aids in establishing and implementing departmental goals, contributes to meeting Core Measure and Quality Control thresholds, attends departmental meetings, and actively pursues personal and professional growth.
Requirements
- Graduation from a School of Radiologic Technology
- Member of the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Board of Examiners
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists
- Working knowledge of skills obtained in approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Ability to work independently to perform standard and complex procedures under minimal direction
Preferred
- 1 year experience as a Radiological Technologist

Pay
The posted compensation range for this position is $27.65 - $38.02 per hour, reflecting the lowest and highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Schedule
The schedule for this role is 80 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 0700-1530 with rotating call including Weeknights, Weekends, and Holidays. The shift is a Day shift, and there is no remote work option.
