About the Role
To provide proficient technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra- and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, physiologic patient monitoring, and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for the safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Acts as a patient/family educator, advocate, and liaison.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient preparation, intra-, and post-interventional/surgical procedures.
- Manage supplies and devices required for procedures.
- Perform physiologic patient monitoring.
- Assist with direct patient care.
- Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, and specialized imaging equipment safely and effectively.
- Serve as a patient/family educator, advocate, and liaison.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Cardiovascular or Cardiopulmonary Technologist (CVT) from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or a graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (e.g., cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
- Proof of RCIS or RCES exam eligibility required.
- Complete a minimum of 12 CEUs annually (10 CEUs must be cardiovascular-related).
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Pay
Estimated pay range for this position is $34.08 - $50.62 per hour, depending on experience.
