Intrastaff- Home Infusion RN

About the role

The RN will provide, coordinate, teach & supervise care for patients in the patient’s home. Must be able to provide skilled evaluation, treatment & care for patients in accordance with the State of MD & DC Nursing scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating and coordinating of programs that may include hospital inpatients, outpatients, families, community, and employees of both the hospital and the university by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
• Providing direction to/management of other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
• Working collaboratively with, and providing leadership for, a multidisciplinary health care team to support program initiatives that support quality, safety, and excellence in care.
• Participating in promoting and identifying quality improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that supports, protects and promotes area of specialty.
• Initiating and participate in the research activities relevant to specialty area.
• Implementing initiatives in area of specialty as directed by nursing and medical leadership.
• Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.

Requirements

• Current registered nurse license in the state of Maryland, or licensed in a compact state OR DC license required if working in areas of DCCurrent CPR certification
• Excellent infusion skills
• High-tech skill- care and use of Central Venous Access Devices, including PICCs, Infusaports, and Hickman.
• Experience in administering infusions such as IVIG, Remicade, and Entyvio;2 years of Prior home infusion experience
• Epic experience

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid Maryland driver’s license and current auto insurance, working vehicle; agree to comply with Maryland law for mandatory seat belt use
