Intramural Supervisor (Student Position)
About the role
The University Recreation - Intramural Supervisor position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating a comprehensive intramural and recreational sports program designed to meet the recreational needs of the university community.
Responsibilities
- One year of officiating experience across multiple sports for University Recreation.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certifications Required.
- Must have open availability from 5-11pm Monday through Thursday. May require occasional weekend responsibilities.
- Evaluates student officials.
- Evaluate and implement new programs and promote events.
- Care for the schedule of Intramural Sports and communicate schedules to teams.
- Coordinate schedule changes due to forfeits and student conflicts.
- Ensure risk management procedures for sports are followed.
- Maintain equipment for intramural sports.
- Show strong knowledge of sports rules, especially in flag football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
- Show experience in training sports officials, supervising student employees, league and tournaments, risk management, conflict resolution, and marketing.
- Show self-motivation and ability to operate independently and reach effective decisions.
- Show excellent oral and written communication skills.
