About the role
We are seeking an Interventionist who believes deeply in the power of timely, targeted academic support and the role high-leverage instruction and intervention play in accelerating scholar outcomes across content areas.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver targeted, high-impact intervention lessons aligned to RePublic’s curriculum framework and grade-level standards across content areas.
- Use multiple data sources (screeners, progress monitoring tools, classroom assessments) to track scholar progress and adjust interventions based on individual learning needs.
- Provide small-group and 1:1 instructional support to accelerate learning and close skill gaps.
- Foster learning environments where scholars feel confident, supported, and motivated to meet high expectations.
- Partner closely with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, and school leaders to align interventions with core instruction.
- Participate in data meetings, PLCs, and professional learning sessions to analyze trends and plan responsive supports.
- Embrace feedback as a tool for growth and continuously refine instructional strategies to maximize scholar impact.
- Contribute to a school culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and shared ownership for scholar outcomes.
- Develop trust-based relationships with scholars that promote engagement, confidence, and academic perseverance.
- Communicate regularly with families and teachers about scholar progress and intervention goals.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating resilience, professionalism, and an unwavering belief in scholar potential.
- Collaborate with school leadership to design and implement strong systems that support the MTSS framework.
- Lead high-quality professional learning to build staff capacity in MTSS processes and interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all scholars receiving Tier II and Tier III supports, while supporting and holding teachers accountable for required MTSS documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Valid state teaching license or certification (Tennessee or Mississippi) with 3-5 years of teaching experience
- Strong ability to navigate instructional technology, student information systems, and data platforms
- Ability to design and deliver targeted instruction using a variety of digital tools and learning platforms
- Comfort with progress monitoring, data analysis, and instructional adjustment
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent, actionable feedback within a continuous improvement culture
- Ability to maintain professionalism, flexibility, and emotional composure in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, growth, and professional development
