Interventional Tech (casual) - UPMC East

Responsibilities

• Aid in the training of staff and student technologists.
• Collaborate directly with Radiologists to develop protocols.
• Perform advanced technical procedures independently, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
• Display advanced knowledge in supplies and their usage during procedures.
• Assist in or perform QA, regulatory testing, and technical and research initiatives.
• Manage Fluoro time, handle medical editing requests, and ensure annual lead apron compliance.
• Participate in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
• Function independently and cover shifts, on-call responsibilities, and services at satellite facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved School of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required.
• Must have a strong/solid/good performance review rating on most recent review to be eligible for promotion.

Pay

The pay range for this position is commensurate with experience and education.

Schedule

Candidates will be placed into the appropriate salary grade/job title based on experience and education, and will work various daylight shifts between the hours of 6:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
