About the role

The Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a vital role in our department, performing diagnostic tests and ensuring optimal patient care. This position requires a skilled technologist who can operate diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently, manage patients during procedures, and maintain a high standard of care. The successful candidate will be a team player, supporting student education and contributing to our organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic testing according to established procedures, ensuring quality patient care.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, including peripheral devices, to obtain accurate test results.
  • Manage patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain supplies and report any equipment issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Actively participate in student clinical education activities.
  • Support organizational goals by providing excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in interventional radiology.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school.
  • Licensed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Environmental Protection.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • 1 year of diagnostic testing experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred.
  • Advanced certification from ARRT preferred within 18 months of passing initial registry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
