Interventional Radiology Technologist

About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering radiological care to patients of all ages, focusing on diagnosis and treatment of anatomical and physiologic disorders using ionizing radiation. This position requires a strong foundation in conventional radiography and proficiency in at least one additional modality such as CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam room, equipment, supplies, and medications for patient procedures.
• Responsible for patient education and ensuring their comfort during examinations.
• Operates all X-ray equipment and PACS systems.
• May be required to take call and work shifts outside of regular hours.

Requirements

• One year of experience preferred for additional modalities.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Licensed and certified in Radiologic Technology by the State of California.
• ARRT certification.
• Fluoroscopy permit within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Proven competency in additional modalities such as CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

$45.00 - $60.00 hourly
