Interventional Radiology Technologist

Role Overview

This position is responsible for performing high-quality Interventional Radiology Imaging using advanced technical skills while adhering to healthcare standards and regulations. It involves conducting specialized neurological and vascular radiology procedures, assisting physicians during complex interventions, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing and preparing for interventional radiology procedures, including patient instruction and aseptic techniques.
• Managing equipment, contrast administration, and image processing, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Maintaining sterile conditions, assisting with instrument sterilization, and inventory management.
• Monitoring patient reactions, administering contrast, and supporting emergency responses.
• Serving as a lead or resource for staff and students, providing training and ensuring quality standards.
• Participating in quality assurance, departmental improvement programs, and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and Texas MRT certification.
• Preferred advanced registry in Vascular or Cardiovascular Interventional.
• Current CPR certification.
• Thorough knowledge of radiologic procedures, equipment, aseptic techniques, and patient care.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
