About the role

The Interventional Radiology Technician assists in a variety of interventional procedures by preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring accurate diagnostic images are obtained. Under the direction of the supervising physician and department leadership, the IR Tech maintains a safe, sterile, and well-organized procedure room while following facility protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment
• Ensure accurate diagnostic images are captured
• Maintain a sterile and organized procedure room
• Follow facility protocols and safety guidelines

Requirements

• ARRT certification; IR certification preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, including patience, empathy, and professionalism
• Clear and effective communication with patients and clinical team members
• Quick critical-thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist in patient positioning

Pay

• Estimated gross weekly pay: $3,213
• Estimated weekly stipend: $1,393
