Interventional Radiology RN Per Diem
About the Role
At Saint Mary’s Hospital, Registered Nurses (RNs) in the Interventional Radiology unit provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures guided by imaging technologies such as fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound. This role involves intraoperative care, conscious sedation, patient education, and collaboration with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Continuously assess patients’ conditions.
- Monitor and document patient responses to procedures and medications.
- Administer medications and conscious sedation.
- Provide cardiac monitoring.
- Work closely with physicians and healthcare provider staff for close patient monitoring during intra-op.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Valid RN License in Connecticut.
- BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Interventional Radiology experience or three or more years of experience in ICU or Cath Lab settings.
- Experience with conscious sedation and interventional procedures.
Schedule
- Per Diem Rotating Schedule, Monday through Friday.
- On-call opportunities available.
