Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant
About the role
Summit Health is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to work collaboratively with a team of 2 Interventional Radiologists and 1 IR Physician Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a well-equipped, state-of-the-art freestanding Interventional Radiology facility. Time will be split between the outpatient facility and hospital setting providing care for Summit Health patients. Interventional Radiology or Surgical experience is preferred but training will be provided. No night or weekend calls.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR.
- Injection, exchange, and removal of drainage catheters, including GU and GI drains.
- Imaging-guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.
- Perform vascular access placements and removals, including PICCs, Ports, and tunneled lines.
- Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.
- See new consults in clinic and hospital settings and arrange for follow-up as necessary.
- Participate in department quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Physician Assistant degree required.
- 1-year Interventional Radiology experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
- Physician Assistant New Jersey License required.
- BLS/ACLS certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform diverse work assignments and make decisions with time limitations and a high degree of accuracy.

Pay
Compensation range: $116,000 - $145,000. The provided range is based on industry standards, and salary determinations will be made based on factors including years of experience, individual performance, quality measures, and location of position.
