Overview

Piedmont Henry Hospital's Imaging Department features state-of-the-art equipment, great staff, flexible scheduling, and a great work environment. The department has its own transporters and patient lift equipment. We offer 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts as well as weekend option pay. The department includes X-ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X-ray Techs, Unit Secretaries, Transporters, RNs, PAs, and Radiologists. The hospital is a 259-bed facility, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal intensive care unit, and is stroke certified. The Emergency Room sees about 100,000 patients annually.

Imaging department volumes:

  • X-ray: 3 Routine Rooms & 2 Fluoro Rooms (86,000 exams per year)
  • CT: 4 CT Siemens rooms (72,000 exams per year)
  • MRI: 2 MRI units (1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year)
  • Ultrasound: 3 Siemens Rooms (21,000 exams per year)
  • Breast Health Center: 4 Hologic Diag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year)
  • IR: 1 GE Room (2,500 exams per year)
  • Outpatient Diagnostic Center: CT, MRI, Mammography & X-ray (11,000 exams per year)
  • Surgery (OR): 5 GE OEC C-Arms
  • CSU: Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate sedation

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including but not limited to: angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, and modality assisted drainage and biopsies.
  • Complete all post processing functions.
  • Perform related record keeping and patient care functions.
  • Ensure the utilization of established protocols and techniques differentiating for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations in the performance of diagnostic procedures and functions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program. Required.
  • Work Experience: No experience required.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (R) - Upon Hire. Required.
    • BCLS - Basic Life Support - Upon Hire. Required.
