Interventional Pulmonary Director Professor of Clinical Medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and direction for the interventional pulmonary program
• Work closely with the division, department, and health system leadership to ensure access to inpatient and outpatient IP care
• Develop and implement protocols and guidelines for interventional pulmonary procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care across disease entities
• Supervise and mentor interventional pulmonary staff, including physicians, nurses, and technicians
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient safety and satisfaction
• Stay abreast of advances in interventional pulmonary medicine and incorporate new technologies and techniques into practice
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the interventional pulmonary team
• Oversee, teach, and mentor trainees (medical students, residents, fellows)
• Support the growth and development of the interventional pulmonary fellowship program
• Increase the impact of Keck Medicine’s IP program on the surrounding community
• Work collaboratively with the Division of Thoracic Surgery staff and members
• Facilitate growth and support of interventional pulmonary services at satellite hospitals of the Health System
• Participate in the financial stewardship of the program in concert with the Division Chief and Department Chair
• Represent the interventional pulmonary section in Divisional, Departmental, Hospital, and Health System matters when formally requested to present or be present

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and have completed an Interventional Pulmonology fellowship
• Fellowship training in Interventional Pulmonology
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing interventional pulmonary medicine
• Experience with most current interventional pulmonary techniques and instrumentation
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team and collaborate
• Proven commitment to teaching
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $300,000-$450,000.
