Description
The position involves medical management of patients with spine and neck complaints, focusing on musculoskeletal problems, back and neck pain, and acute/chronic pain. It includes a procedural practice that focuses on alleviating pain, with opportunities to perform fluoro-guided spinal injections and ultrasound-guided injections.
- Treats patients with painful and function-limiting musculoskeletal disorders of the spine, peripheral joints, and soft tissues such as sprains/strains, disc herniations, rheumatologic conditions, degenerative, developmental, acquired, and traumatic neuromuscular conditions of the upper and lower limbs, spinal cord, and brain.
- Prescribes therapeutic exercise and other rehabilitation modalities.
Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
- Fellowship training must be completed by an ACGME accredited program.
- Active and unrestricted State of ME medical license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
- Board Certification/Eligibility.
- Active and unrestricted DEA license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
- EMR Experience preferred.
