Job Duties

• The ideal candidate would be an early career or a mid-career interventional cardiologist.
• Services are provided at multiple locations including Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA; Geisinger – Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA; Geisinger – Gray’s Woods in State College, PA; and select community locations.
• The multidisciplinary team participates in various research initiatives and educational programs.

About the Role

Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The system-wide team includes 69 Cardiologists, 12 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 12 Vascular Surgeons, and 82 Advanced Practitioners. Services are provided across multiple locations and the team engages in research and education initiatives.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position include being board certified or board eligible as an Interventional Cardiologist. Candidates must also be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania.
