About the Role
HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is expanding its cardiac service line and is seeking an experienced interventional cardiologist to join a growing, high-acuity program.
Qualifications
- Experienced in interventional cardiology
- Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Responsibilities / Practice Details
- Ideal candidate would be proficient in both coronary and peripheral interventions
- Comfortable with echocardiograms and EKGs
- Opportunity to perform structural heart procedures for appropriately qualified candidates
- Dedicated focus on interventional cardiology, with limited general cardiology responsibilities
- Work within a robust, multidisciplinary cardiac team, including dedicated cardiac anesthesiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists and intensivists
- Practice will have APP support and will join a structural heart cardiologist in an employed practice setting
- Participate in some STEMI call schedule

The system operates a 545-bed hospital across two campuses: the Ocala Campus (HCA Florida Ocala Hospital with 323 beds) and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital (a part of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital with 222 beds), alongside 5 freestanding EDs.
In mid-2026, the hospital is undergoing a $200 million expansion, increasing total capacity to 647 beds, expanding ICU capacity to more than 100 beds, and adding two additional 26-bed medical/surgical telemetry units.
