Interventional Cardiologist

About the role

An academic interventional cardiologist is sought to join a Level I Trauma Center, focusing on building a STEMI program and expanding interventional cardiology services. This role offers leadership opportunities and involves approximately 90% patient care, with 10% dedicated to teaching and research. The position includes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and working alongside multidisciplinary teams within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance STEMI and interventional cardiology programs
• Provide high-quality patient care without surgical backup
• Engage in teaching and research activities within an academic environment
• Contribute to clinical initiatives and service line growth
• Potential for leadership roles such as Division Chief based on experience

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, or advanced cardiology
• Experience and comfort working independently
• Leadership potential and academic interest
• J-1 or H-1B visa candidates considered
