About the Role

As an integral part of a dedicated team, you will provide exceptional cardiovascular care and contribute to delivering the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system in Colorado Springs and the surrounding region.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers, hospitalists, and noninvasive cardiologists to integrate complex patient management.
  • Work with advanced practice providers, cardiac surgeons, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered treatment plans.
  • Expand access to specialized, life-saving interventional cardiac care for underserved populations as a key member of the cardiovascular service line.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with referring providers to enhance the network of critical care.
  • Perform complex interventional procedures and interpret advanced cardiovascular diagnostics with therapeutic accuracy.
  • Engage in community outreach to advance a sustainable, growing organization dedicated to improving cardiovascular health.
  • Support the Mission and core values of this Christian organization, fostering a team-centered culture that prioritizes collaboration and service.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and excellence in clinical practice and team interactions.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with the area of specialty.
  • Board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty by a board acceptable to the Hospital.
  • Active or eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado.
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.
  • Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system at the sponsoring institution.

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs, comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital, opened in 2008, features 340 beds and offers:

  • Modern Birth Center
  • Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Cancer Center
  • Emergency Department and Level III Trauma Center
  • Imaging Services
  • Acute Inpatient Rehab
  • Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit

It serves as southern Colorado's home base for Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service. The organization recently earned Magnet Hospital designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for superior quality in nursing care.

Colorado Springs offers over 300 days of annual sunshine, mild winters, and access to recreational areas including Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods.

Pay

$710,000 - $745,000 per year.
