Intervention Specialist

Indian Valley Local Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the role

The Intervention Specialist will provide academic support to students who are struggling academically. They will work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students identified as needing intervention
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement IEPs
• Assess student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and needs

Requirements

• Appropriate State of Ohio Licensure for K-12 Intervention
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Experience working with students who have academic difficulties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
