Intervention Specialist

Looking for a high-paying Special Education opportunity with a full school-year schedule? We are seeking an Intervention Specialist to join an elementary school team in Columbus, Ohio for the 2026-2027 school year.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $55/hour
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Contract Length: 40 Weeks
• Start Date: August 10, 2026

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services
• Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
• Participate in student program planning and team meetings
• Provide consultation and educational support to general education staff
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations
• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
• Must comply with professional standards of practice
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Standard Elementary Teaching Certification (preferred)
• Standard Secondary Teaching Certification (preferred)
• Standard Special Education Teaching Certification (preferred)
• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement (preferred)
• Current CPR certification, if applicable (preferred)
• Current health screening and TB clearance requirements, if applicable (preferred)
